Louise Golbey is a British singer, songwriter and musician. Born in London, Golbey came from a long line of entertainers – a grandfather who played classical violin, a guitarist uncle, singing mother and a multi-instrumentalist father.〔(Soul Culture interview )〕 Brought up in Bournemouth, Louise moved back to her home city in 2004 to pursue her own career as a musician. A finalist in the Indy Music Awards 2008, she was invited to play the Glastonbury Festival the following year.〔(BBC at Glastonbury )〕 She has played venues including Ronnie Scotts, The London Hippodrome, The Jazz Café, and appeared as an opening act for George Benson at a Kenwood House Picnic Concert in 2011. Mr Hudson, Lianne La Havas, Omar, Anthony David, Alexander O'Neal and Mitch Winehouse in aid of The Amy Winehouse Foundation).
